15-secondenregel

When there are no signs used for securing the work site, activities within the danger zone can only be executed with a minimum visibility of 15 seconds of approaching trams, i.e. at the point where a tram approaching is detected, there will be 15 seconds time lapsed before it reaches the works location. At higher speeds for the tram, the visibility distance should therefore be longer than at lower speeds.

- The danger zone can be cleared removing all work materials and tools within 5 seconds;
- All workers are stationed at a safe location 5 seconds before the approaching tram passes.

The visibility times are shown on the LRI-drawings.
